This section deals with Oral Motor movement including primitive, mature and abnormal patterns. This section also includes information about tooth grinding (bruxism) and hypersensitivity (gagging and tooth brushing difficulty). Also included is information regarding transition skills needed to move from the use of the breast or bottle to utensils and to move from pureed foods to regular textured foods. When difficulties occur in any of these areas, request an oral motor assessment.
